Her sole vehicle of 1934—not to mention the first where she alone held top billing—is a treat. TGFM’s censorship troubles seem to define it, but essentially none of its charm was affected. I recommend watching simply for this scene with Patsy Kelly that gets me every time:

1934 saw Deyneka visit Italy where he spent three weeks & created atmospheric images of Rome. Classical ruins & statues figure large, reflecting his academic training. He revelled in the contrasting light & shade of the Mediterranean climate
A Pioneer, Kursk (1934), Crimean Pioneers (1934) & a Parachutist Above the Sea (1934). Deyneka approached his compositions with great originality & verb. He had an authentic empathy with children, painting them without sentimentality. The parachutist is a unique composition
Cesar Legaspi (1917 - 1994) and Rod Paras-Perez (1934 - 2011) - Mother and Child, 1978
She continued to paint the Scenery around Murnau throughout her life & sought to share the emotion the landscapes evinced from her. Schloss Elmau in Winter (1933), Staffelsee (1934), Blauer Kegelberg (1930) & Self-Portrait (1935)

We bumped the timeline up from 1e's 1924 to 1934, 'cause in 2022 we could use some more Nazi-punching.

@Watson4Helen Good evening Helen @Watson4Helen & thank you. Lyme was a day-trip destination for us when I was a child so I have a very soft spot for it in my heart. Here's a view from Cobb Road that I'm sure you'll know very well: this is "Lyme Regis" by John Cooper from c.1934/35. #ELG

‘Shepherd’s Cottage (The Lay)’, Eric Ravilious, watercolour, 1934. The shepherd’s cottage is in Beddingham, a hamlet in East Sussex, very near to Furlongs, a favourite dwelling of the artist, and home of Peggy Angus.
