I actually remember making this piece of Tiki in Medibang. Good times. I still like some of the shading, but there is definitely an over use of the airbrush tool noticeable in the hair.

@JazzyTyfighter I’m not quite sure how to answer, personally — I do a bit of both.

In my case, I tend to mostly do hard lighting because it suits my style, but airbrushed lighting can also work well for more impactful results. Sometimes I mix both in one image.

How do you guys decide between airbrush lighting like the left and hard line lighting like the right? I’m finishing up a piece and can’t decide if the lighting from a fire should do one or the other.
