My favorite settings are ones that take Tolkien’s tropes and give them twists. I need to have elves and dwarves, but love it if they are samurais or sophisticated cannibals or some such.

Fateforge is a great setting, involving all of the D&D classics, but making them their own

In the Western Kingdom, the cultural association between person & beast is weak. Eating meat is fine, even a Rabbit eating rabbit.

That is absolutely not the case in the Eastern Kingdom. They have a HUGE taboo against eating "your own kind" & do view it as cannibalism. (3/4)
