🎨📖🦑🕯 Vampire Squid
This scientific illustration of a vampire squid is from Smithsonian Libraries. Its jet-black skin, the caped appearance of the webbing between its arms and eyes that appear red under some light conditions are what gave the vampire squid its name.

After reading What Grew in Larry's Garden by , illustrated by Kass Reich, this will be a definite purchase for our libraries. It's about connection, gratitude, community, neighbors, and friendship with a side of tomatoes. What a lovely little picture book! 🍅

This nonfiction beauty just blew us away today. The Lights & Types of Ships at Night written by Dave Eggers & illustrated by Annie Dills is both stunning & informative, and it will most certainly be a standout in our libraries.
