The initial color sketch.

Usually I start doing random strokes and shapes until it begins to take the shape I want. During this stage the eyes, the body and the flower have incorrect proportions and positions, that is gradually fixed as you overpaint.

i actually went and finished it tho tbh not entirely happy with it. did the painting entirely in greyscale with a gradient map + colour layer, rather than overpaint at all this time... oh well.
