@Protodude It goes beyond the helmet. Hair, pauldrons, thick arms and legs, sword worn on the back - he casts a very similar silhouette to Zero's whole X series design.
I didn't notice it until recently, but Omega's helmet is a callback to OG Zero's very own.

One doesn't truly realize how many colors Zero's gone through over the years until you put them all side by side with each other.
Chill Penguin's head, Armored Armadillo's torso, Flame Mammoth's knees, and Spark Mandrill's... everything are festooned by what appear to be lights. The same ones that are installed in Zero's chest. Consistent design!

I remember freaking out as a kid witnessing the acknowledgement of Zero's planned creation in the Classic timeline.
More work in progress. Added coloring & shading for Zero's run animation, and an early version of one of the backgrounds to get a better feel for how it's all gonna fit together. Camera will be a lot further away from Zero in the finished video though. #animation #MegaManZeroHD
