Grace Greenwood Ames was an American artist and social realism muralist. She worked in Mexico on murals alongside historical artists and on WPA projects. She and her sister Marion attended the Art Student's League & completed several murals together.

On this day in 1938, French painter Suzanne Valadon died. She inspires me until today. She was not only a model/muse but she taught herself to paint and developed a unique style of her own.
