I decided I really needed to improve my painting process. Also study hands. 5 layers counting a sketch is much better than the choas I was doing 😆
Sketch from abt a year ago that made me feel like I finally got a decent enough grasp on general anatomy to move to other aspects of my process. But sketching and flat colors will forever be my bae <3

I'm really glad I redid all the faces, in order to streamline the look/process. I really like how they came out. Davis here (the first one) being one of my favorites. Along with the fact that Triple M, aka, Mary Mars McQueen, finally has a face lol.
Next, lettering. Lettering comics in Procreate is, perhaps, an underwhelming and sometimes frustrating process. On this, I needed help from the Sr. Art Director on the team to help letter in Illustrator and in the process, he made the words much snappier and funnier...
I'll be making process gifs for all my work moving forward! These are very easy to make, and until AI catches up and starts doing the same, this can always help show the human process.
