Pretty much foreshadowing Kirinji's hot springs. We know for a fact Urahara knows of Squad 0 & also that Kirinji isn't opposed to teaching others.. Maybe Urahara learned directly.
Though knowing him, it's more likely he set out to replicate it to challenge himself..

Kubo really struck gold with this one. Making the body & Bankai of a mad scientist, both customisable, just opens the door for endless designs/upgrades. With almost no limits or conventions either. 👏🏽

Lowkey relieved that Bleach will only be 12 episodes though, since I can then pour all my focus into the bulk of Shibuya without having to split attention. 🤞🏼

Within days of entering Soul Society, Orihime had already progressed enough with her barriers to forego most of the chant. If we assume that she grew at a similar pace off screen, I'm not surprised that she was later able to cover Ichigo from far superior attacks.

Though I wish it was used more/better, Orihime always had hands. I think the practical application of this in series is when it feels like she comes in clutch with shields, blocking, catching.. There's definitely instincts in her lucky timing/saving etc..

With all the chaos already, could you imagine if this situation really turned into Byakuya vs Ukitake.
Might've been better for us in the long run. Ukitake & Shunsui coordinating with us instead of working seperately.
At least they got the Shihoin shield out of this.

A nuance of Ichigo & Rukia's relationship that's lost on many -even herself- is how Ichigo's similarity to Kaien influenced her decisions to illogically & unlawfully aid him.. This also plays a subconscious part for many others throughout soul society arc. 👌🏽

I either forgot or never realised that Yoruichi was hiding Ichigo right under the Sokyoku.. I wonder why. Even though it was in it's sealed state, they could've been using it to mask Ichigo's spirit energy.. Maybe even as a quick way to replenish it.
