Tho just flats as of now I drew a background for once! Real functional background.

I'm painting a larger piece and this lady naga is in the background.

At first she would just "stand" there, but now I'm using her gesture to tell more about the picture. Depending on how I render this, she might be washing her hair, or braiding lavender into it. 🌿

I'm not happy with my arapaima. I'm going to leave it for now but will likely add a glaze of blue to push it into the background.

Another god-like artist when it comes to details to clothing AND background. I love how you can't box their coloring to cel or soft because for me it looks like she uses textures, gradients and patterns as 'shading' which is really cool <3 (1/2)
