tip time - "Fade"! I've been using this feature constantly ever since I learned about it. Really useful for toning down an adjustment/filter/effect or even brush strokes.
Hit CTRL+Shift+F or Edit > Fade to do this, as demonstrated by the blueberry below :D

Continuing with some study. I found an old Jack Kirby inspired color swatch that I've been using for these last few drawings (slight adjustments to them afterward) and having a blast. Trying to add more Kirby into my work as well, couldn't be happier right now.

Was afraid the background would take very long, but turns out not so bad with a simple design and the help of some stock materials. Here's a beach version with the background from the bikini version. Oh yea still need to do costume adjustment for Rin's boob covering pose lol.
