I'm exploring blender just a tad with shaders and such; trying to get a feel for colors before I try to model. I don't want to work hard on a mesh only to not know how I'll complete my vision.....

Goldsrc, Source, Xash3D all have a 128 bone limit per model. Its a arbitrary limit as you can increase it to 256 for Source, and most likely Goldsrc with engine access.
I'd love to increase it to 256 for Xash but I don't have a source code to the mdl viewer or studiomdl,exe
