Zero, he’s kind of like a reverse Cloud where he’s experienced a lot of trauma. But rather than opening himself up, he tries to cover up his pain by developing a cold no-nonsense attitude after X4’s events. The Mega Man Zero series highlights his arc amazingly.

Hope this helps 😅

First I start drawing the tear outlines with a dark color

Then I lower the opacity of the layer until it looks good (usually around 15%)

Then I start adding strong highlights in a new layer

Finally I add some slight shadows with a multiply layer

In my experience to start your lighting you always need at least 1 rim light, it helps set the character apart from the background and adds some good highlights

I really don't know how I want to go about doing highlights, but I should match the type of highlight I want to do with how much detail I want with the hair. So the one the left works out really well and maybe the one on the right can be done a bit better in a different style
