Looking a some comments about story being too wholesome, I'm inclined to believe that SNK wanted this saga to be uplifting. The angst of the Orochi saga, the dystopian darkness of the NESTS saga and the somber tone of the Ash saga reflect a different time.

“MS The Witch from Mercury” has an excellent 1st episode. Great direction, absurd ideas presented as a dystopian space society norms. Really engaging way to present a confident girl main protagonist who enters a new world of the long-running franchise. GREAT designs too.
