I've said it before but it's weird to suddenly start treating motobugs like they're Sonic's goombas when there's a stretch of like 20 years when motobugs were missing in action. Now you can't run five feet in a new Sonic game without tripping over one.

Yeah that's what they used to do for the artwork in the Dreamcast Era of Sonic. Starting with Sonic Rush, the art got more detailed and "realistic" with Sonic's proportions, so no more stretchy rubber like shoes or cool looking posing
