Ink washes are pretty cool. I think I could have pushed this more with the values, but I had a deadline to meet 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi, all, I'm looking for colouring work for Jan, Feb & March (or longer!). As a comic book colorist, I can work from inks, pencils, grayscale washes & render cel-shading to airbrush to painterly finishes . I'd appreciate a signal boost. Thanks! ☺️

Firestar drowns in the ocean and loses one of his many lives. He washes up onto shore and wakes up in a fit of rage. "𝕐𝕠𝕦'𝕝𝕝 𝕡𝕒𝕪 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤, ℂ𝕙𝕣𝕚𝕤 𝕄𝕔𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕟..." he forebodes before slinking away into the nearby forest grounds

There’s basically nothing of the interiors I can show you without blowing the story. But it all looks like this. Cream and gold, sketchy looking thing with acrylic washes. here’s the first three pages anyway, if you guess the plot from this you can have it for free

Obviously this went through a lot more work before it was done- but hopefully just these few initial videos give you a sense of how the washes go down with ’s new watercolor brushes, and a little bit of a sense of how I’ve been approaching layering!

I learned an incredible amount this year, but two of the biggest would have to be inking with a brush and watercolor flat washes :>

Getting ready for the day, let's hope that sweat washes away the stains.. If not, I could still use the tinies that survived my morning routine...

If this washes, I might just have to learn how to design in limited-color proofs from now on, which saddens me...although, if necessary, I feel like I definitely *could* learn to do so... each of these probably only needs about 6 distinct colors of screen printing ink after all.

I did a couple little ink tests on some new paper yesterday and messed around with them in Photoshop this morning

I probably won't rock many ink washes in my new comics, but now I know they make a handsome riso comic 🍸🍸

Three last stragglers from & my love letters to Osomatsu-san season 2 episodes 24 & 25 and, of course, the movie. With this, is Inkt-over! I had fun and learned I really, REALLY like ink washes 😌
