turns out using a program that you havent touched in years is not gonna give the results you want.

but i did find out that i really like drawing the lineart on sai.
i wonder if there's something i can do different on medibang to make it similar

The only lineart i do is for enamel pin designs. The rest of the time i just refine while i sketch and paint. It’s more fun and intuitive. Not the best example but:
