the redraw isn't even done yet but i just wanna point this one lil thing out 😭😭 when i drew the first version of this, it was my first time drawing a position like this. plus i didn't have a lot of experience with drawing kids in general. so the pose looks really odd +

Painting 8 was inspired by some of Goya's aquatint pieces, such as "The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters", mostly in composition & contrast, as well as the abstract subject matter.
@saltycoughdrop yeah one of my main reasons for wanting to redo this is that there were some things i wanted to do with it but couldn't bc my anatomy still needed serious work. catra's position especially,, her pose is a lot more relaxed/natural now
