The lighter blue on the fins is optional, nose can be the same color as fins/horns, basically the colors are very flexible since this character has the ability to disguise themself/change color ! this would be my first fursuit!

Like, this isn't good but this is usually how I approach trees from a small distance. I work dark-to-light, and I'll usually add lighter and lighter shades as I get to the top, and then make the outline lighter towards the top as well

I use colored pencils, and making everything smooth is very tough! For one thing, the tooth (roughness) of the paper can give you lots of white spots. My best advice is:

- Use smaller strokes/circles in at least three directions.
- Color over it thoroughly with lighter tones.
