When my 12 year old self played Castlevania 3 for the 8-bit NES, I was in love with him ever since. He looked a lot different back then- but still, if I’m playing any Castlevania game- or any game that includes Castlevania characters- it better have Alucard as a playable.

ALRIGHT hear me out. Castlevania as Smash DLC. The game itself is the character. It's a miniature version of the castle floating around and every attack throws out a different Castlevania enemy. Medusa heads and skeletons cluttering the screen like an insane version of Duck Hunt

Chobits definitely influenced my eye style

Rockman Zero did too, especially the rounded style

Junji Ito influenced my lineart flow and probably default expressions

Castlevania most likely sparked my fascination with drawing eyelashes and hair (mostly long and wavy)

I really wanna try again and make another pic with MSpaint, it's funny and challenging drawing this way. There's no layers mode, no magic selection, it really has a lot of handicaps.

Castlevania 64 had character designs and art by Yasuomi Umetsu, the creator/director of anime such as Kite and Mezzo Forte. He had also previously done work for Konami on Contra Hard Corps as well

And the final palette is once again based off Shadow Pokemon from XD and Go. Lighter purples than Arbok's, but an overall darker palette.

Snivy still looks cute, but these colors could make some other Pokemon pass for Castlevania enemies.
