I think that's just because the models are lower poly, like they never do any finger gestures so they didn't bother modelling their hands, people won't really notice unless they completely analyze their designs

I've generally been fine with how most of the characters look, but Aang is definitely one of the more off ones for me, it's a mix of him being a bald Ben 10 and having extremely low-poly facial features

That being said though, Korra's model looks ten times better for some reason

I'm using Ambient Occlussion to render the cross-hatching side of the material, it doesnt work perfectly with low poly models tho. I could probably use vertex colors instead of ao to it only shows the cross hatching where i want, but this'll do for now
