compared to others i have very clean sketches. I very rarely start with REALLY messy figure drawings-- but i also take the sketch loosely and refine lines on the go.

@sugarpoultry I think it was something like this? Did a version overtop the thumbnail to refine the shapes, with layers separated out for different parts (back/mid/foreground trees, ground, leaves, house, etc). I may have done that in b/w first and painted in colors once it was all separated.
A very rough sketch of possibly one of my woof OCs, i might refine it later when i get more time to draw my own art.

Mine vary from rough sketches to cleaner sketch to lines

i thought this one would be kinda interesting, it took WEEKS of trying and retrying to nail the look. perhaps the more interesting phase is the middle part - which involved painting a sloppy, glittery acrylic gouache base. after which it was refined digitally : O
