The great German anatomist Robert Heinrich Johannes died of 1945 at the age of 76. He's remembered today for the 'Sobotta of human a masterpiece of macroscopic anatomy acclaimed for its high quality and detail.

Update 3 to my comic! Took way longer than expected to figure how to make a decent microscope, but I have started getting some details laid out properly so that’s good at least. Also need to figure out colors but shading should be no problem. Stay tuned for more!

Micrographia was groundbreaking for Hooke's breathaking etchings of the microscopic world, the first time anyone would have seen such images. There were far too many for me to include, but I wanted to show a snapshot of as wide a range as possible - plant, animal and mineral.

I am not a professional illustrator of extinct animals. When I was very small, I wanted to be a “scientist” and would use my Mum’s microscope to draw and catalogue what I saw in it. These days, I like to draw over fossils for a lark. These were for my Kid.
