There was something /really/ bothering me about the 2D keyframe so I wanted to redraw it... and ah. It was the face.

I tweaked the hair a little and redrew his face entirely but his body was relatively fine so I just kept it

go with keyframes first, which for basic motions i animate is like, five frames, then gauge the fluidity of the motion and see if you need to add more frames. the in between lineart can be messy because it's there for like a millisecond. heres my smears that look goofy as shit
