#Paleoctober Fay 26 is the alienopterid Teyia branislav. From what I read up on it, it uses batesian mimicry, pretending to be an ant to deter predators
#DINOTOBER day 26: CARNOTAURUS
Yeah, I know everyone is into T-Rex but... so many other bigger predators looked cooler with their fancy head gear. This guy doesn't get enough love!
Despite all this bad reputation, Sirens are generally respected within their own domain and other predators usually leave them alone as they don't want to become prey, but sometimes work with Sirens to find and capture food together.
🦇 Happy #BatAppreciationMonth!
We love them not just for their contribution to the Halloween aesthetic, but also for their roles as pollinators & mosquito predators.

Keet! keet! OFP & Pekapeka have formed a coalition! Both species are severely threatened by introduced predators in their habitats. You can vote here: https://t.co/f03BFLl0Z8 @Forest_and_Bird Make sure to #votekakariki & #votepekapeka this #BirdoftheYear! Art by @GiovaFavazzi
Today's first Ecological Horror is the Titanaboa!
Titanaboa was the biggest snake in the world around 60 million years ago in what is now South America. Climate change is what killed most of them, but until that point, they were apex predators of land for a few million years.
Swamp flyers
Palusvolatlacerta - flying swamp lizard or Swamper,
large flying predators, dives into water and can swim in water, but its habitat is air.
ok here you go. Game concept: Racing PREDATORS. Monster taming + racing game + boobas
Daily #werewolf content
"Braid’s"
Taking fur-care is very importantly for the mostly predators. And everyone else ❤️
Thank you for watching my art
Hope you still like my friendly wolfs
He thought mastodons were huge-fanged predators. They weren't, but we had cats that were.
He thought ground sloths were giant lions. They weren't, but we had those too.
Day 6: Bugguise. "Not a bug type bug" is a confusing prompt but I took it to mean a bug-looking creature. This little fella uses bug shells to disguise itself as a bug, warding off predators. Slightly inspired by the picori from minish cap
Promt #2 for #scarislinger2021
Phantasmagorical ghost!
Manavores are hyperdimensional predators that prey on ghosts transitioning to the next stage of existence. A haunted place may soon become overrun with manavores, if not properly "cleaned" by DNU agents.
different women with different weapons, but the way they look when they're "aiming" or targetting someone or something is pretty much the same. They look like predators looking at their prey(s) AAAAAA INSANE 💯
Pastel Paleotober Day 9: Waimanu 💝
Waimanu of New Zealand lived in the Paleocene soon after KPG Extinction. Taking advantage of the empty nieches left by the disappearance of most large marine predators, Waimanu took to the sea full-time as one of the first true penguins.
Today's aquatic monster are the Darktentacles from Dungeons & Dragons
These amphibious predators are highly intelligent, don't need to sleep, and seem to have a pretty good memory remembering preys that escaped them before.
Today I learned that white tigers were not actually majestic arctic predators, and are really inbred genetic abominations that are riddled with health problems. I didn't know that when I picked it for Tori's animal motif but talk about a happy accident.
Snakes sometimes hang out in his clothes too, usually appreciating his body warmth, they also act as a sort of mutual protection, as ponies don't like to mess with someone who has deadly snakes living on them, and predators won't mess with a large pony.
Day 5: STONECUTTER'S SPIDER. This rare species of spider lives far off in the rockiest mountains, using it's birth assigned tools to sculpt the scariest of rock sculptures in order to scare away predators that may try to eat it's young. In bug-speak, they have a New York accent.
