Toriyama's Cover Illustration for WSJ, No. 37 (1986/08/12)
"Passionate Spirit!"
The mastery of this is how detailed it is in its plain simpleness.
🌹Happy White Day! 🌹
BNHA Heroes Battle card game and SMASH RISING both have White Day cards featuring Deku, Bakugou, and Todoroki making chocolate/baking! 🍫
The Heroes Battle cards are new art (shown in WSJ Vol. 14), and the SMASH RISING cards are from previous years!
Dr. Stone trivia ch141:
The "3" is for Dr. Stone's three-year anniversary :)
(This is the WSJ cover this week)
Toriyama's cover for WSJ, No. 36-37 (1991/08/13)
Son Goku is depicted dreadfully dashing towards a confrontation with No. 19 & 20. The issue contains DB's 337th chapter, ft. both full & limited color pages. It seems he intended to imprint a grand impression for the merger issue.
Toriyama's CI for WSJ, No. 28 (1989/06/13).
It really evokes the feel of a "decisive battle" against Vegeta, eh? You'll soon believe it, alongside the characters, as your hands heat up gripping the pages, trying to follow its quick pacing...!
(SN: Marketing speech is awful.)
The original full color title page for Dragon Ball's 4th chapter (WSJ #03, 1985, released 1984/12/11).
The vehicle seems to be the "Honda CR250R", advertised by Jeremy McGrath and notably available in plastic model form.
Interestingly, the logo loses its pizzazz in re-releases.
Tadatoshi Fujimaki's (Kuroko/Robot x Laserbeam) Oneshot is called "Kitsune Byouri no Konjirou." It will be a jidaigeki (period era) oneshot of 47 pages. It will debut in Issue 6/7 of WSJ out January 4th.
