Clothes with lots of fine detail are tough. Practice helps, but a lot of times I just...skip it. If a character wears something on a regular basis, it needs to be easy-to-draw enough that it doesn't stop me from meeting deadlines!

For they mostly have normal modern clothes, which are easy and low-effort to draw. Unless it's a specific character trait or plot point for them to be wearing something elaborate. (Miranda has so many fancy clothes...)

If I only need to draw it once, a single reference from the right angle is fine! If it's a scene/object/animal that's going to come up over and over, it's gonna need multiple refs.
