"Take care the snakes you charm, lest you suffer a bite.~"

Introducing Saa.
She's an Eastern Indigo Snake, and she doesn't bite... hard.

She is my virtual avatar, I hope you like her as much as she likes you.

Tried for art-deco at first in my ref pic, and ended up with.. weird evil flesh snake, with a middle portion that looked like "evil cleavage", per Xav. So take two, which is really about take eight, bc I keep eyeing it, sniffing, and then scraping the slate bare to start over.

I am less fluent in Chinese myth than I should be but Chang'e, the Lady of the Moon, and Bai Suzhen, Lady White Snake, are two of my favorites. Both suffer great tragedies, though Bai Suzhen manages to make the best of it.

"Real" Mythology creatures or modern fantastic ones?
For "real" I propose:
Quetzacoatl the Aztec feathered snake, god of winds and rain and creator of the world and mankind.
And Jörmungandr, the norse Midgard World Serpent, middle child of the gianttess Angrboða and Loki
