As someone who mostly draws ladies I GET YOU. It's all about basic shapes--squares and rectangles as opposed to soft, curvy lines. Men are more angular, so if you imagine feminine features with more of a sharp edge that should help a bit! Practicing this continually helps too. 💖

I have a problem of drawing characters standing around in a boring way too often. Studying old comics helps me kick myself out of that habit. No matter how clever the camera angles, I think characters need to be dynamic, whatever the genre.
