turns out using a program that you havent touched in years is not gonna give the results you want.

but i did find out that i really like drawing the lineart on sai.
i wonder if there's something i can do different on medibang to make it similar

Art is historically one of the most important ways that humanity has been able to internalize their experiences of the world and communicate that phenomena to others nonverbally. To be part of a lineage of people compelled to create, struggle and all, is a blessing

Admittedly I think a lot of my improvement this year has been in smaller things, as a lot of my practises have actually remained the same in terms of lineart, colour, etc, (I have a small change in my shading but it's not in the Hunter piece), but I still think i've improved! https://t.co/EZs4kSYeQS

The lineart isn’t quite as clean as I’d like. But, I’ve been sitting on this for too long. I wanted to draw one of those keychains where the character is actually hanging.

Without the cloak, because I wanna show off her BEAUTIFUL hair.

I'm in love with how I did her hair and it was my first time trying..

The only lineart i do is for enamel pin designs. The rest of the time i just refine while i sketch and paint. It’s more fun and intuitive. Not the best example but:

From January to November. The achievement I'm the most proud of is figuring out how to render without lineart. I've been wanting to achieve that for years 🥺
In 2023 I'd like to work more on composition and lighting 💖

“My New Year's resolution is to continue bringing Sprout daily to my followers! I also want to experiment and try new mediums & art styles. A big learning curve last year was discovering that art is not linear and embracing the desire to try new things with my art.”
