8 - Least favourite book

James the Red Engine. It's just boring and the illustrations aren't that interesting. Plus the only story I like in it is rendered semi-non-canon by the infamous 'loop line' plot hole.

LOL Kass and Marian were ENGINEERED to be this. Kass is 6'6" and Marian is 4'10". I have shorter and taller, but then you're getting into like, inhuman territory, and also I'd have to then figure OUT those heights in the first place, so ehhhh

2 - Favourite book
Tramway engines. After learning all about Awdry's Ffarquhar branch layout and timetables, this book feels so 'right'. The branch is very thought-out, it feels so realistic. Some of my favourite illustrations too!

1 - Honestly a tough one, they're all great.

I've always had a soft spot for James, but my heart does lie with the narrow gauge - and this is definitely swayed by my experiences with the real engines I will not lie - probably Rheneas or Sir Handel.
