Underwurlde was, I think, the first mega-maze game I played. And it was Sabreman, who is just adorable. I played it a ton on my friends Speccy, played it more on my C64, and then played it even more after getting the Zzap!64 map. It was beautiful in its cruelty. Up 5, fall 10. 😮

Tapper is an absolutely cracking arcade conversion.
It was years before I saw the arcade game and, you know what? I think I prefer the C64 version over the arcade. (Probably that "this is the first one I saw, so it's the best" kinda effect.) 😄

A shame really, because it does date them.
Elite, to me, works better with a stark desaturated look.
(Of course, I mostly played it on the C64, then got the Amiga version later, which looks identical to the ST.) 😎

I don't know if it was a Bruce Willis likeness issue or something, but while the C64 version has a decent looking John McClane, the IBM PC version gives him a ridiculous toupee

The Amiga version was the first version of Stunt Car Racer I ever saw. So that one's still my go-to version. 👍

The C64 version is seriously really good though. (Especially the tweaked version that works at the correct speed on the SuperCPU.) 😄
