Next step was to mock up my pose in 3D to get some reference for the perspective and extremely weird lighting situation I'd created! I ended up with this terrifying image (I accidentally deleted the eye texture? I'm bad at 3D tools), and then painted over it.

Personally, I'm quite pleased with how I knocked out the 'Tribal' costume for my Live2D, since I didn't use my flat anime-style for it.

The speckled shell and fur are both very textured, so I hand-painted it with a dozen layers. Not my usual fare.

GM lovely people! ✨☀️ I actually majored in painting when I was in school, and one of my favorite class was ink painting with pigments, the traditional Chinese and Japanese paintings, I’ve tried to reproduce that crafted texture a lot in digital and it became one of my styles.
