how i start a painting if anyone's interested... lots of chunky shadows and highlights until i refine it and start rendering the textures this is 2 hours from start to finish (timelapse is a minute and a half) and then a fully rendered painting is like 5-6 hours

2 hours of experimental painting, as in, just throwing paint on a canvas with no references or any real process... I'm kinda liking this a lot. Will refine it once I gather the courage to fix the light sources and warmth :P
