【今日は何の日】1889年2月11日、明治天皇の馬車に向かって初めての万歳三唱が行われた。
本来は「万歳、万歳、万々歳」だったはずが、馬が驚いてしまったために「万々歳」は唱えられなかった。

1889年帝国憲法発布の記念式典で、初めて万歳三唱が行われた日なんやって〜
万歳は、もともと中国語「千秋万歳」から来てて、永遠みたいなニュアンスやったのが、皇帝の長寿・繁栄を祈る意味を持つようになったらしい。
