I've been thinking about these two so much lately and I finally got around to drawing them.
Luka is a hot head mech pilot who got discharged because problems with following orders, and Falchion is an old, decommissioned mech with a LOT of anxiety over his age.

Finally, the intro cutscene shows Robin, "Marth" and Chrom in the reflection of the Falchion. But also Validar (literally noticed this today). He's the only one not facing us spectators, which shows he's an opponent.
