I added 2 different weapon menues, cuz the "game" has 2 level modes, Gradius like weapon bar for shmup style, and Contra like for platforming levels!

I used Sega resolution for this mockup, but my idea it too heavy for Sega actually.

Salamander (AKA Life Force) celebrates its 35th anniversary this month. Konami's coin-op sequel to Nemesis (AKA Gradius) features six alternating horizontally and vertically scrolling shoot 'em up levels packed with enemies and bosses. Definitely a very fun and challenging game!

There are various staff comments in the book. For example, the space shuttle created by Sunny is written by Kotegawa, the mechanical designer, as being aware of the form of the Vic Viper T-501 (properly T301) from Gradius V and the Lord British from Salamander.
