聖遺物「剣闘士の未練」に描かれている花のモデルはグラジオラスかと思われます。
古代ローマの「剣」を表すラテン語は「Gradius(グラディウス)」と言い、それを持ち歩いていたことから剣闘士は「Gladiator(グラディエーター)」、その剣に葉の鋭さが似てることからこの花はグラジオラスという名前に。

久々に GRADIUS V
購入当時しばらくプレイして、あまりの難度に早々に挫けました！w

君たちね、それ１面ボスがやることじゃないし、２面ボスがやることでもないんですよ💢

それにしても絵が綺麗。何も知らない人が見たらPS3か4のゲームだと思うんじゃないですかねー
改めてもう少し取り組んでみよう

1面から難しすぎんだろー！2面行くのにえらい苦労したぞ

以前はここまでではなかった気がするが？！
と思ったらREVIVAL STARTがONになっていた

いずれにせよ1面からの物量がどうかしてるのと、難度も高いので先の方のステージは見たことない

Yeah, it's sort of cheating since it's a Famicom exclusive, but I love this port so much that I'm including it anyways. It changes up some of the stages and music from its arcade counterpart and is a perfect edition to any shmup library!

Something I’ve always noticed and thought was funny is that the Vic Viper in Gradius 3 is supposed to be all white without blue stripes yet the sprites of the ship during gameplay has blue stripes on it like the other models of the Vic Viper

It's called Gradius 2, but if you think of it as Life Force 2, you'll have a better idea of what to expect. Gradius was subdued, with low-key set-pieces and repetitive mini-bosses.

Gradius 2 is a sweeping space epic with grand bosses.

This might be better than Life Force. Wow.
