Naples artist Italia Ruotolo (https://t.co/t4sSr1X8by) often adds macabre touches to her technicolor artworks. I like her "Hasta la vista Betty Boop". Excellent.

"Vipera Ferro Di Lancia - Vipera lanceolata"

I promised I would celebrate that trash of chapter and I sketched the Shibayamas’ enjoying their italian restaurant owners life😂😂. I want to believe Izumi lived in Naples/Campania because of a hint in a film. So she’s an ace at Naples cuisine✨✨✨.

First stop - the Naples National Archaeological Museum.

I knew what to expect - mostly - but there’s nothing to quite prepare you for staring down the level of artistry in the two millennia-old frescoes, mostly salvaged from houses in Pompeii and housed here 🧵

- Discovered in 1755 in the 'Villa at the Royal Stables' on Portici, this subtly coloured panel is usually interpreted as the myth of Galatea and Polyphemus, though other pairings have been suggested.
