Portsmouth in HMS INVESTIGATOR charged with the task of circumnavigating Terra Australis. Which he did, naming many inlets, ports and features. He also pushed for the name to be used to define the land.

Drawing from a tower block 1980, crayon on old linen paper. Just taken a better photo of this one though the paper is slightly more lemony-coloured. It shows the old Pompey power station now demolished. Hint of the distant Solent.
