Me: the idea of Lady Shiva being Cass' mom has not been used to its full storytelling potential, and more often than not has diminished Shiva's nuance in service of stale, cookie-cutter narratives.
Me when people say "Of course Cass can beat Batman, she's Lady Shiva's daughter":
Why do u censor my man Shiva's great asset cygames pls
Pls make a hide UI option it's already 8 years
@DRAG0NOFDOJIMA she gives off Shiva ff7r vibes except shiva's design is actually really nice
Just found a rescanned/remastered version of Lady Shiva's bio page from WHO'S WHO UPDATE '87 #3 featuring @JanDuursema_art's gorgeous art! And yep, all these years later it's still a beaut.
... more amicably than ever before.
Shiva talks about losing Cass in this story, when they've really never been on better terms than now.
In the context of the run that this story references, the key elements of Shiva's characterization here start feeling a bit forced to me.
Remember when Tynion said that fans of Babs'll get a lot of Babs this year? Well, he wasn't lying. This Babs in today's issue of The Joker, Jason's story in UL, & Cass' story in DC Festival of Asian Heroes with Steph in The Joker & Shiva's story of Urban Legends... 🥰🥰
Shiva's new #FFXIV friends in fancy clothes! 🥺💖💖💖🌸
A lovely Elezen and an adorbs Miqo
And remember, that same day also sees the release of Shiva's first solo story in over 20 years!
I expect to be doing a looooot of posting this next week. Maybe I should just take the day off work...
The other thing Shiva knows is that Cass is a trained assassin who holds back when fighting, but if she's heard of her, then she obviously knows she's a Batgirl, and we all know Shiva's had her share of experience with Bats so there's no reason why that should raise her eyebrows.
Like, have you HEARD of Vishnu's female form Mohini?
And how he literally changed into this form to quench Shiva's unquenchable lust that threatened to burn down the universe?
Out of which the deity Ayappa was born? Who's widely celebrated in South India?
Interestingly 🙂 river Ganga is said to come out of the top of the head of Shiva...Shiva, whose symbol is lingam, penis...So out of the top of which head exactly? 🙂 The upper one or lower one? Oh, Look! Ganga is pouring out of Shiva's head on top of a lingam...So symbolic...
For some reason I really wanted to make cocktails inspired by "Shiva's Adorable Trio", so. Here they are. Explanations (and ingredients I guess) in the replies.
