@8bit_era Yeah, the C64 is a much more muted palette. And you've always got those three shades of grey to fall back on for lots of luminance levels. (and orange/red/brown/green pairs for shading too.)
Then you go Speccy and it's all bright and vibrant.
(Which isn't bad. Just different.)

@RetroGameGeeks @EverythingC64 @jasha_jasha @MissMiaw @RetroFeeder @UndeadToTheEnd @MiracleMan82 @PrinceWatercres @CiskoNokia @e3man01 @Cerabelum1 The Amstrad is a good machine. It seems to be getting a second-life in these retro days. 👍
I did like the Speccy version too.. It was pretty good. Someone has even done a "re-imagined" version of it with lots of new graphics. 😎

Back in the day it was saddled by too many quick Speccy ports, when it could do so much more. 👍
@CrazyCollector1 I played it a fair bit on the C64 back in the day.
These days I'd prefer to go for the Speccy version because of its obvious Speccy DNA. The sequel, Back to Skool, I'd seen almost nothing of until recently. Because it was only released on the ZX Spectrum. Looks even more complex.

This early free-roaming platformer was also one of the first 64 games I played. Like the Speccy original, it's rather buggy, but good fun. Surreal, amusing, & yet oddly melancholic, it's certainly unique.
@SieOne Such a great little game on the Speccy, even if it is a clone of the arcade game 'Mr. Do's Wild Ride' 😊
