TW/ Xenophobia, Native cultural appropriation, generally being a wet wipe
This person clearly gets great satisfaction from making people upset. That being said though, they shouldn't have any platform here. Simply report and block if you can.
I'm so sorry for people like this
i have a question for my pals
i have this character
basically a white gurl with dreadlocks, so here's the question, is it a bad thing i'm drawing my girl with dreadlocks since she's white ? i've been seen a lot about something called "culture appropriation" and idk what it is
I want everyone to know that this drawing with a feather and butterfly are cultural appropriation to natives and to cancel me as such, even tho this is a western look do not be fooled, feather = native

The whole Neffertity thing is wild💀
I have been too afraid to put this on twitter for 2 or 3 days now
(Yes, I afraid that if I put this of twitter, I will get accused of Cultural appropriation even though I'm Asian)
While I defs get the instinct to joke about Scott doing cultural appropriation (my theory that it's a gift from Logan, the number one weeb in Scott's life, is still hilarious imo), let's also keep in mind that this fantastic design is by an actual Asian artist, Inhyuk Lee 🙏

How do you use cultural inspiration without appropriating or falling into stereotypes?
@arucelli answered this question so eloquently during her live event last December, which is paraphrased below.

"Understanding Cultural Appreciation vs. Appropriation" Comic ft. My #WebtoonCanvas characters Part 1
For the uninitiated Appropriation simply means to take something in existing pop culture and re-purpose it in a new and sometimes deconstructionist way. And for the record, the process fascinates me. To see a select few ascend while others of equal merit remain obscure.
