Based on how they look, I guess? For example, this vampire character. She looks like a vampire but not quite Vlad Tepes-like. A name that honors both Dracula and that vampiric bloodline hence Drakuline. Also because Draculina is taken, hence I had to change a few letters.

Drakuline is a 180-year-old vampire lady. She's old enough to be both your grandmother or ancestor but still looks young enough to boogie-woogie! Looks could be very deceiving because that's what vampires do!

Pablo's appearance was based on the 1936 Tex Avery's design of Porky Pig and John Candy's character from Planes,Trains & Automobile.

Drakuline's Dad was based on an old Gold Key Comics character called Doctor Spektor and the horror icon Vincent Price.
