Hopefully we're counting edutainment pc games as video games cause uhhh https://t.co/NjfMw6nO2W
Hi, I'm Sam.
I'm an art director by trade and have worked mostly in the field of edutainment.
I don't get to make art much anymore but when I do it's all pleasure art. I like cute, nature themed, and dark stuff. I read a lot of comics. I'm a big nerd.
Here's some recent art:
Our forest protector @Limealicious is always a spring of knowledge, and there's no drought of lessons to be found in edutainment games!
She's back and LIVE right now at https://t.co/N87wlGPZxp with more point-and-click goodness! #VinesauceIsHOPE 💚
Love these works by David Julian, especially the Utopian-Scholastic/Wacky Pomo hybrid showcasing the 90's 'excitement of logging onto the world wide web or getting a new edutainment CD-ROM feeling'
Cosmology of Kyto is a prime example of videogames as art. And also the only example of horror - edutainment hybrid. You get to explore Kyoto in 900s, and witness & interact with many events, all of them based on folklore and history.

I wish I could draw furry art in the style of old multimedia edutainment games.
Headcanon that my Colin likes to play games but ONLY old edutainment games. Also he may or may not be able to process the existence of the 2000s and thinks it's eternally 1999

Another edutainment game you may vaguely remember playing: Word Rescue! Some mean aliens have stolen all the words, so you have to platform around and match words to their icons. Simple, but surprisingly fun

Before all the streamline video games I played as a kid...there were edutainment games. And the one that stood at the top for me were these rambunctious kids called the Cluefinders.
@BeforeYandere The Japanese edutainment game, Roly Polys Nanakorobi Yaoki, a game made by Osamu Sato and released in 1997, was lost media and found in 2019 before Yandere Simulator finished development. I don't know if this is too big a timeframe though, I just think it's interesting.
@TRJForBloggers @Mooneira a blogger for lifestyle, travel, pop-culture, and edutainment.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Will Contain Edutainment Elements

Today's Pumpkin of the Day is Pumkin (or Hungry Pumkin) from the Edutainment website Pumkin World.
(Cookie Run) Hanja Run is an edutainment adaptation in Hanja (Chinese characters used in the Korean language). 🍪
Volume 1 Chapter 1 has been translated: https://t.co/IhMnA3O3Yo
Credits to @candyypirate for purchasing and scanning the comics, and @tiptchi for translating! 😊
Okay... I guess I might as well. #1stVideoGameCrush I don't even think this counts because it was an edutainment game. But many many many years ago, I crushed on Android XL2, aka, Botley the Robot from JumpStart 3rd Grade.
