The first game to have brought survival horror back to RE, Revelations 2 is a totally original game. No remake, no fun gimmicks or weird/new genres like RE7. Just a Resi game with a new story, classic characters and fresh ideas that push the series forward, despite its budget.

My current ranking of #Pokemon gimmicks since X and Y. I know #PokemonScarletViolet isn't out yet, but the Terastal Phenomenon reminds me a lot of Mega Evolution, which already makes it better than Z-Moves and Dynamax/Gigantamax.
As much as I look forward to S/V, the only thing I don't like so far is the Terastal Phenomenon. Unlike previous gimmicks like Mega Evolutions or Z-Moves, it just feels like an excuse to sell toys rather than add to the overall metagame.
The only broken transformations and gimmicks I miss from the 3DS games is Primal Reversion. PRIMAL GROUDON AND PRIMAL KYOGRE WERE SO FUCKING AWESOME!!!
