everyone mentioning that brush jitter thing meanwhile the one ive been using for the past few months to color has had that feature and i had no clue why the color changed everytime i used it lol

Often I use the default oil paint brush w the nice canvas texture and a slight jitter to the stroke and will make changes to the amounts while painting, specifically. I also have color mixing turned on but will slide those settings around while painting to get the results I want.

when colouring I start by filling the whole thing in with the skin tone, then I block the other colours in with a soft or fuzzy or hue jitter brush, this helps create middle tones (again, saves me the trouble of hand picking them) then I hit everything with an overlay layer
