German-born surrealist #MaxErnst (1891–1976) died on 1 April in Paris. He was interred in Père Lachaise Cemetery in the 20th arrondissement. Picture: ‘The Robing of the Bride’ (1940) – finally got to sit in front of it on 1 April 2019 at the #PeggyGuggenheimMuseum in #Venice.
