Beyond mechanics, Portopia's lack of fail states & everything about Yasu had much more impact on contemporary ADV makers. But I often see it touted as some definitive "text parser games died after this" moment when even the makers of Sokoban kept making those well into the '80s.

We released Flint & Steel earlier this week and while I love the mechanics, the art really completes the package. Check out the timelapse of how it came together.

Friends, I have a bee in bonnet about making a used mecha salesbeing game, and I am shocking myself by actually working on it.

I have all the rules and play mechanics, now I am working on a physical mock-up. These are possible card backs.

Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Every one of the games there brought something unique to the table in regards to game play, mechanics, story, art, & execution. There's a world of difference between Infinity Girl, Race Me Now, Pocket Wheels, & Chair Racing Simulator, yet they are united by being racers & amazing

Insane visuals with the beautiful, vibrant art, cinematic cutscenes, and details in every part of its huge map. Along with great music and game mechanics, exploration was made easy and fun. Combat is clean and addicting, and the narrative is compelling, tackling honor really well

I’ve been working on my first game project directed by myself.

Tuner Grand Prix: Time Trials will be a small game demonstrating the world, mechanics, and art style of a larger game I plan on creating.

It’s been a great experience thus far. 🔥🔰

To everyone who likes the BLiNX games:
Try to help spread that info. I want to see the series at least get some sort of spiritual successor with improved mechanics, as I still haven't seen many games try to pull off what the BLiNX dev team tried to do.

Finally beat my first game of (and DEFINITELY not on my first try!)

I have a lot to learn about these mechanics, but this is SO MUCH FUN.

16a.

What I love most about Roberta (other than her energy, T-Posing, gameplay mechanics, and extremely endearing voice) is her design! The li'l details about her being both scientist and makeup artist while still having the techwear aesthetic mix so WELL. Also cute as hecc.

So happy with Manifold lately, the amount of tools ready-to-use is so inspiring to think of mechanics, gamification, collaborative stuff you can pull off easily ❤️‍🔥

One thing missing for me is a Bandcamp style "pay what you want" for Free claims 👀

2017: Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
I don't think this is surprising to anyone x2 lol
Not sure where to begin. Fun gameplay mechanics, gorgeous amazing beautiful art and a wonderful cast of characters. Great soundtrack! Please play this game 🧡

2011 - Arkham City

Such a solid game and Batman story. Out of this WORLD fight mechanics, playing as Catwoman was the highlight of this game, obviously.

2020: Super Crush KO - Switch

A fun and colorful little action platformer. Not every game needs to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes a few nice mechanics, swift movement, and a polished art style are plenty. Love the Smash Bros style controls here especially.

Were you around in 2019, when we started the year with Kunoichi Botan by Enokippu ()? With its unique stealth and assassination mechanics, it was a killer of a game!

One and done on 🐸Drainus, a surprisingly great shmup from a studio that's mostly done Metroidvania's up til now. It's visually really pops, has interesting mechanics, and a nicely balanced difficulty. I'm not entirely sure about playing for score/scoring mechanics admittedly >>

This evening we’ll have our first look at ’s

We’ll go over lore, gameplay, weapon mechanics, movement, design and more. Want to see something specific (recoil patterns, footstep audio, …)? Let me know!

Excited to be a part of this!

Also, regardless of people's feelings about gacha mechanics, the thing is it forces the devs to keep coming up with new content on a regular basis, and that ultimately gives the fanbase more stuff to enjoy.
