My art will never be accurate enough for Paleoart...so i might as well commit some heresy with my Dinosona!

I’m an artist from Colombia, happily in feature animation @ Paramount! I’ve also contributed to projects like Star Trek: Lower Decks, Critical Role: LVM, some NDA work for Epic Games, and other jobs ranging from tabletop games to paleoart. 🧳https://t.co/EG3rxPS7mR

I think it's about time I started getting back into original designs. Gonna throw this stuff into the mix with my MH art and Paleoart. Revisited an idea I had in 2019 and this is the result

also just wanted to make an excuse to show appreciation for "old" or "outdated" paleoart. sure our information on these animals has expanded over the years but you cant deny how great this shit is. it has a distinct primordial feel i cant rly describe in words.

i offer this mischievous microraptor as some paleoart. would you give him a friendly pat and compliment his plumage, pretty please? he is a little egotistical

Well, obviously, dinosaurs are cool. When I'm not examining obscure illustrations I love a good piece of paleoart. Imho the late, great Zdeněk Burian is master of the genre, however one of the finest modern exponents of the art is Douglas Henderson. Here's four...enjoy

In the 40s, William D. Berry's art was revolutionary to the progression of Paleoart. Without him there probably wouldn't have been Dinosaur Renaissance the way we know it, yet his name has been long forgotten in the mainstream paleo media, unlike Knight or Paul. Time to change.
